25 December: Good Governance Day

The Good Governance Day was observed on 25 December to mark birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The day was established in 2014 to foster awareness among the Indian people of accountability in government. On this occasion, Good Governance campaign was launched for 100 days. During this campaign Ministers and Members of Parliament (MPs) will travel across the country and attend programmes highlighting the government’s key initiatives. It seeks to improve delivery systems, to promote digital transformation and take forward the connectivity revolution in all sectors.
