Di-ammonium phosphate

Di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) is the second most commonly used fertilizer in India after urea. The farmers use this fertilizer just before or at the beginning of sowing. Its high phosphorous content helps hasten the crops’ root development. With the help of well-developed roots, plants grow larger and more rapidly. The Central government has recently announced a 140 per cent increase in the subsidy for DAP.
