Dry Swab RT-PCR COVID-19 test

The ICMR-approved Dry Swab RT-PCR testing method was developed by CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB). In this method, nasal swabs are collected and transported in dry state. This is to make transportation and handling of samples easier and reduce instances of spillage and spreading of infection. It is cheaper and quicker in the logistics front.
