e-Courts Project

e-Courts Project is an integrated mission mode project that has been implemented since 2007 as part of the National e-Governance Plan. It is based on the ‘National Policy and Action Plan for Implementation of Information and Communication Technology in Indian Judiciary. The aim is to leverage ICT to provide designated services to litigants, lawyers and the judiciary to ensure improved justice delivery. As of now, 2,927 court complexes have been connected by high speed Wide Area Network across the country under this project.
