Five-Hundred Meter Aperture Spherical Telescope
Five-Hundred Meter Aperture Spherical Telescope (FAST) is the world’s largest single-dish radio telescope. It is located at Pingtang, Guizhou Province in southern part of China. Its operations commenced on January 2020. China announced that FAST is going to be officially opened for international scientists starting April 1, 2021. This announcement came after the Aarecibo radio telescope was decommissioned following its collapse on November.
