“Freedom on the Net” report

The “Freedom on the Net” report is published each year by the US think-tank Freedom House to provide detailed analysis of internet freedom across the world. It gives a score out of 100 for each country based on the level of internet freedom enjoyed by citizens. This includes the restrictions on internet contents and manipulation of online contents.
According to the recently released report, internet users in record number of countries have faced arrests and physical attacks for their online posts over the past year. The report revealed that online rights are constantly declining at the global scale for the 11th consecutive year.
