GAL-CLUS-022058s
GAL-CLUS-022-58s is one of the largest and one of the most complete Einstein rings to be discovered in the universe. Nicknamed the Molten Ring, its image was captured by Hubble Space Telescope, which is operated by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the European Space Agency (ESA). This object’s unusual shape is because of gravitational lensing by a foreground elliptical galaxy located 4 billion light years away.
