GAVI Board

Union Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan became the member of the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation (GAVI) board. GAVI is an international organisation set up in 2000 to improve access to new and underused vaccines for numerous vaccine-preventable diseases. GAVI board meets twice a year on June and November or December. It is responsible for overseeing the vaccine alliance’s operation and monitoring programme implementation.
