Green Freight Corridor-2

Green Freight Corridor-2 is a coastal shipping service connecting Kochi port with Beypore and Azhikkal ports. The loading operation of this vessel’s maiden voyage was inaugurated by the Union Minister of State (I/C) for Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Mansukh Mandaviya. It is operated by the Mumbai-based Round the Coast Pvt Ltd.

This port will help transport commodities like rice, salt, wheat, construction materials, cement etc. It will boost businesses of minor ports and improve coastal connectivity. This new coastal shipping service will reduce traffic on roads and railways, and further minimise the logistics costs.
