Guru Tegh Bahadur

Guru Tegh Bahadur was the ninth Sikh Guru. He was the youngest son of Guru Hargobind Sahib – the Sixth Sikh Guru. He led the Sikhs from 1665 until 1675, when he was executed on the order of Aurangzeb.
Punjab Assembly held a special session to mark the 400th Prakash Purb (birth anniversary) of Guru Tegh Bahadur. Guru Tegh Bahadur was born on April 1, 1621. He was born as Tyaga Mal and the name Tegh Bahadur (Mighty of the Sword) was given to him by his father after he demonstrated bravery in the battle against the Mughals.
