Hualong One
Hualong One is China’s 1st indigenously developed nuclear reactor. It was connected to the national grid in late November. The reactor is capable of generating 10 billion kilowatt hours of energy per year. The work on the reactor commenced in 2015 and is in line with China’s ‘Made in China 2025’ Plan and goal to become carbon neutral by 2060.
