Mission LiFE looks to borrow from the past while operating in the present and keeping an eye on the future.

What did the PM highlight about India’s focus on the environment?

The PM highlighted that the forest cover of India is increasing and so is the population of tigers, lions, elephants, leopards, and rhinos. The country’s commitment to reach 40 percent of installed electric capacity from sources that are non-fossil fuel-based has been achieved 9 years in advance. Also, the target of 10 percent ethanol blending has been achieved by the nation 5 months before the target of November 2022. The government is also focusing on renewable energy.
