Ministry Of MSME Introduces AI & ML Tools to Strengthen Champions Portal
The Ministry of MSME has launched the artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) tools in order to provide effective assistance and solutions to the issues of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). These tools have been started on its Single Window System called the ‘Champions’ portal. These tools would be strengthening the portal.
This portal was launched in June 2020 by the prime minister. This is a multi-modal system which has a portal at the virtual level and technology-equipped physical control rooms. The control rooms have been set up at around 69 locations of the country. The system is one of the front runner platforms for the MSMEs in a very short span of time.
These tools and the portal was launched during the COVID-19 pandemic in order to turn the disaster into an opportunity with futuristic interventions. These tools would be helping these MSMEs to manufacture essential and enabling products like sensors, motors, computer displays and other animation technologies. For grievance redressal the ministry was dependent on the complaints and data coming through the Champions portal. Now with these tools, the ministry can now know the pulse of the entire MSME sector even without going to the portal.
Further, the tools will enable to know the emotions of the people involved with or dependent on the MSME sector in real-time and would be effectively managing the Information Management Systems (MIS).
