Odisha Millet Mission

Odisha Millet Mission (OMM) was initiated by the state government in 2017 to promote millet (Ragi) as the staple crop of the farming system. The mission sought to increase the household consumption of this crop by reviving production. Millet was included in Mid-Day Meal, Integrated Child Development Service and Public Distribution System. This initiative had successfully increased the gross value of millet produce per farmer household to 215%.
