Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana

The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana or PMKVY was launched by the Indian Government in 2015 to recognise and standardise skill development in the country. The objective of this scheme is boost the working efficiency of daily wage workers by imparting employable skills and giving monetary awards.
The PMKVY 3.0 (2020-2022) was launched on 15th January this year. It aims to train 8 lakh individuals. Till date, 1.2 lakh individuals were trained under this initiative. Training is overseen by the overarching regulatory body National Council for Vocational Education and Training.
