Quality Council of India

Quality Council of India was established as a public private partnership to maintain and improve quality standards of various economic and social activities. This autonomous institute was constituted under the Societies Registration Act in 1997 to provide accreditation services to various sectors. Its top management has equal representation from the government, industry and industrial associations. It is not funded by the government and has its own independent rules and regulations.

Recently, ICMED 13485 Plus scheme was developed by Quality Council of India and the AiMeD to integrate the quality management systems and product certification verification standards with the regulatory requirements.
