Snow leopard

Snow leopard dwells in the mountain ranges at the 3,000-4,500 metres high elevations in Central and South Asia. It is categorised as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List due to its numbers being less than 10,000. According to a new World Wildlife Fund report, more than 70 per cent habitat of these animals in over 12 Asian countries remains unresearched, leading to the limited understanding of the status of these species.
