Spain’s Climate Change and Energy Transition Act

Climate Change and Energy Transition Act is a legislation passed by the Spain’s parliament to make the country carbon neutral by 2050 – the deadline set by the European Union. The law also seeks to ban fossil fuel vehicles by 2040. In addition, it sets a national 2030 target for minimising greenhouse gas emission by at least 23 per cent when compared with the 1990 levels.
