Square kilometre array observatory
The Square Kilometre Array Observatory or the SKAO is set to be the world’s largest radio telescope. It is to be a collection of telescopes, called an array, spread across 2 continents: Africa and Australia. It is to have its HQ in UK. Work on the SKAO is to commence in 2021. India is to contribute 6% of the total budget. Recently, UK ratified the required international treaty Convention.
