Mobile App Launched: NCC

The DG NCC Mobile Training App 2.0 has been launched by Defence Secretary Dr Ajay Kumar. This app has been launched with the aim to provide basis information and training material to the NCC Cadets.

Functions of the App

  • This app will help in conducting training to NCC cadets via online mode during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • This app will look to provide all the basic information related to the National Cadet Corps and the entire training material that includes the syllabus, various training videos etc will be made available on a single platform.
  • The Cadets, through this app, can attend to the online training and appear in exams to receive their certificates.
  • This app has been developed to keep in line with the governments Digital India vision.

About National Cadet Corps

NCC, headquartered in New Delhi, is the youth wing of Indian Armed Forces. School and college students can join NCC on a voluntary basis.

NCC is falls under the Tri-Services Organization which comprises of the Army, the Navy and the Air Wing. NCC grooms the youth of the country into patriotic and disciplined citizens.

Soldier youth foundation recruits the cadets from various schools, colleges and universities across the country. They are also imparted with basic military training which includes small arms and drill. The officers and the cadets have no fixed liability for active military service after the competition of the course.
