Wholesale Price Index

Wholesale Price Index measures the changes in the prices of goods that are being sold at the retail level i.e., amongst businesses and not to the end customers. It is used to measure the inflation level of a country. Also known as factory or producers’ inflation, it shows the price changes of products at the supply side. India’s WPI has jumped to an 11-year high in April 2021 to 10.49%.
