SĀDHANA Saptah 2026, held from 2nd to 10th April, recorded over 3.18 crore course completions under Mission Karmayogi. The campaign involved more than 46 lakh government employees completing at least one course. It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video message, emphasising continuous learning for government functionaries.
Participation and Learning Metrics
Over 33 lakh employees completed more than four hours of learning during the campaign. Approximately 36.6 lakh employees completed at least one Artificial Intelligence (AI)-related course. Frontline workers such as teachers, police personnel, and field-level functionaries contributed 1.48 crore course completions, nearly 47% of the total. State and Union Territory governments accounted for nearly 80% of all course completions.
Thematic Webinars and Discussions
The campaign featured 136 thematic webinars and 84 Samuhik Charchas, attracting over 16 lakh cumulative learning engagements. Topics included Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation, Indian Knowledge Systems, Infrastructure and Technical Expertise, Governance and Ethics, and Health and Wellness. These sessions provided a multidisciplinary learning experience.
Media and Outreach Strategy
SĀDHANA Saptah 2026 utilised print, television, radio, digital media, and field-level engagement for nationwide participation. The initiative incorporated regional language content and citizen-centric narratives to enhance engagement across diverse audiences. The campaign aimed to promote a competency-driven civil service ecosystem.
Government Institutions Involved
The Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions coordinated the campaign. Mission Karmayogi, under which SĀDHANA Saptah was conducted, focuses on capacity building of government employees. The initiative aligns with the government’s goal of creating a future-ready civil service.
