PM Modi Holds Roadshow Before Delhi-Dehradun Expressway Inauguration

Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted a roadshow in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on June 27, 2024, ahead of inaugurating the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway. It includes multiple tunnels, bridges, and bypasses to facilitate smooth traffic flow.

The roadshow covered key areas in Dehradun city, including Rajpur Road and Clock Tower. It lasted over an hour, with thousands of residents lining the streets. Security arrangements involved local police and paramilitary forces. The event aimed to generate public enthusiasm ahead of the expressway’s formal opening.

The expressway is expected to boost tourism and trade between Uttarakhand and the National Capital Region. It improves connectivity to hill stations and pilgrimage sites. The inauguration ceremony is scheduled for June 28, 2024, at Dehradun. The project was executed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
