Krubera-Voronja cave system
Krubera-Voronja is the deepest cave in the world, located in Georgia's Arabika Massif. It reaches a depth of 2,197 meters. Discovered in 1960, it was named after the Russian geologist Alexander Kruber. The cave features unique ecosystems, including rare microorganisms. It remains a site for scientific research, contributing to our understanding of subterranean life and geology.
