Arth Ganga

Arth Ganga is a sustainable development model that focuses on economic activities related to Ganga. The Namami Gange was evolved to Arth Ganda during the first meeting of the National Ganga Council in Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) in the year 2019. Under the process, the farmers  are encouraged to engage in sustainable agriculture practices. These practices include zero budget farming, planting of fruit trees and building of plant nurseries along the bank of river Ganga. The process also include creation of infrastructure for water sports and development of cycling and walking tracks. This in turn would help to tap the ‘hybrid’ tourism potential of the river basin area. Thus, the river basin area can be used for religious and adventure tourism purposes.
