5th Raisina Dialogue Conference Held in New Delhi

The Raisina Dialogue, now in its 5th edition, is once again taking place in New Delhi. Beginning in 2016, this internationally recognized conference serves as a platform for discussions on global policy matters. This year’s dialogue titled “Navigating the Alpha Century,” sets the stage for vital conversations involving international leaders from across sectors.

The Significance of the Raisina Dialogue

The Raisina Dialogue has established itself as a significant contributor to global efforts aimed at finding solutions, identifying opportunities, and offering stability in an increasingly complex world. The conference draws approximately 700 participants from over 100 countries each year. Notably, at least 40% of the speakers at this event are women, demonstrating the conference’s commitment to inclusive representation.

This year’s event includes a session on the Indo-Pacific region featuring military or naval commanders from the Quadrilateral or Quad (Australia, India, Japan, and the United States). In addition, a French Defence official will join the panel discussions, adding an exciting dimension to the discourse.

Understanding the Raisina Dialogue

As a multilateral conference, the Raisina Dialogue endeavors to address challenging issues that confront the global community. Global leaders in policy, business, media, and civil society convene annually in New Delhi to deliberate on a range of pressing international policy matters.

The structure of the Dialogue encourages multi-stakeholder, cross-sectoral discussion. This inclusive approach brings together heads of state, cabinet ministers and local government officials, alongside influential private sector executives, members of the media, and academics.

The Observer Research Foundation and the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, jointly host the Raisina Dialogue.
