Agnibaan SubOrbital Technological Demonstrator (SOrTeD) rocket

Chennai-based start-up AgniKul Cosmos has initiated the integration of its revolutionary Agnibaan SubOrbital Technological Demonstrator (SOrTeD) rocket at its private launchpad within the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR in Sriharikota. The Agnibaan SOrTeD rocket boasts a unique design, featuring the 3D-printed Agnilet engine, a single-stage, semi-cryogenic, and customizable launch vehicle. Unlike traditional sounding rockets, the Agnibaan SOrTeD launches vertically and performs precise maneuvers during flight. With dimensions of 18 meters in height and a mass of 14,000 kg, the rocket offers various configurations for payloads up to 100 kg, reaching altitudes of 700 km.
