Agreements Signed at Aero India 2021

Aero India 2021 began on February 3 at Yelahanka Air Force Base, Bengaluru. The air show will conclude on February 7. Various agreements have been signed during the event. Check the agreements signed at Aero India 2021 here.

Key Agreements Signed

  • A contract of Rs 48,000 crore has been awarded to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) by the government for the supply of 83 to the Indian Air Force.
  • Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) have signed an agreement for the development and production of composite raw materials. This is the first of its kind agreement for composite raw materials.
  • Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has received a Request for Proposal (RFP) from the Indian Air Force for their Basic Trainers requirement at the Aero India 2021. The proposal is for 70 HTT-40 Basic Trainer Aircraft with a provision for 38 more.
  • Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd has signed a contract with GE Aviation (Subsidiary of General Electric). The contract has been signed for the development and supply of ring forgings for HAL’s Aviation military and commercial engine programs. The contract is valued at over Rs 100 crore. It is a 5-year contract.
  • Airbus signed an agreement with Flytech Aviation Academy for exploring collaboration opportunities in Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) training.

Aero India

It is an air show that is organized every alternate year (Biennial). It is organized by the Defence Exhibition Organisation (under Defence Ministry) in Bengaluru. The first edition of the event was held in the year 1996. The Aero India 2021 is the 13th edition of the event.
