In a bid to advance digital learning, the Andhra Pradesh government is ushering in smart education for students in state-run schools by introducing the ‘Doubt Clearance Bot.’ This AI-driven app, developed by ConveGenius AI Solutions, is set to assist students in clearing their doubts in subjects like physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, English, and TOEFL preparation during after-school hours.
Enhancing Learning with AI
The ‘Doubt Clearance Bot’ will be integrated into tablets provided to both teachers and students, as well as interactive flat panels (IFPs) in classrooms. According to Praveen Prakash, Principal Secretary of the School Education Department, the bot will specifically cater to questions within its designated subject areas. If a query falls outside the specified subjects, the bot will refrain from responding.
Educational Initiatives in Andhra Pradesh
Andhra Pradesh has been actively involved in educational initiatives to transform the learning landscape. The state transitioned to English as the medium of instruction in all of its 45,000 government schools, encompassing 41 lakh students. Bilingual textbooks were introduced for science, social science, and mathematics subjects to facilitate a seamless transition from Telugu to English medium.
To bolster students’ understanding of their lessons, the state collaborated with Byju’s, leveraging its content for educational purposes. The government distributed 5,18,740 tablets preloaded with Byju’s app and content to aid learning.
In the current academic year, the government furthered its efforts by equipping high schools with 30,213 interactive flat panels and primary schools with 10,038 smart TVs under the Mana Badi-Nadu Nedu program.
In December of the previous year, the Andhra Pradesh government also entered into a partnership with the Education Testing Service (ETS) to enhance students’ English speaking skills and TOEFL preparation.
