This investment is expected to enhance rural connectivity, making it easier for residents to access markets and services. Improved infrastructure is vital for economic development in these regions.

Support for Startups

The establishment of a new “Department of Innovation, Incubation & Startup” is a key development. This department will oversee the startup ecosystem in Assam, providing necessary support and resources to budding entrepreneurs. The government aims to nurture innovation and facilitate the growth of startups in the state.

Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiatives

Under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan
Nogoria (MMUA-N), eligible Self-Help Group (SHG) members in urban areas will receive ₹10,000 as seed funding. This initiative is designed to promote micro-entrepreneurship among women, empowering them economically and socially.
