Assam Launches Gunotsav 2025 to Enhance Education Quality

The Assam government has initiated the first phase of Gunotsav 2025. This event aims to assess the educational performance of over 14 lakh students. The exercise started on January 6 and will conclude on January 9, 2025. It focuses on “Ensuring Quality Education” across various districts in Assam.

Role of External Evaluators

A total of 6,365 external evaluators will oversee the evaluations. This group comprises various professionals, including Ministers, Members of Parliament, and civil service officials. Their involvement aims to ensure an unbiased and comprehensive assessment of the students’ performance.

Types of Schools Assessed

The evaluation will include diverse educational institutions. This encompasses Adarsha Vidyalayas, Tea Garden Model Schools, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, and others. Each type of school serves different communities, making the assessment more inclusive.
