Ayushman Bhav programme

Ayushman Bhav programme

The Union health ministry is taking significant strides to revolutionize the healthcare system in India by introducing the ‘Ayushman Bhav’ program. This ambitious initiative aims to ensure effective implementation of all state-run health schemes, reaching every intended beneficiary, even in the most remote and underserved areas. The primary objective of the Ayushman Bhav program is to achieve comprehensive and saturation coverage of all health schemes, allowing every eligible beneficiary, especially those in the last mile of the population, to access and benefit from these vital initiatives.

Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0: A Drive towards Full Saturation

One of the key activities planned under the Ayushman Bhav program is ‘Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0.’ This intensive drive is set to commence from August 1, and its primary focus is to achieve full saturation of health schemes across the country. The program will be meticulously carried out to ensure that no deserving individual is left out and that the benefits of various health schemes are made available to everyone, irrespective of their geographical location.

Ayushman Sabha: Empowering Communities for Better Health

The Ayushman Sabha is another critical component of the Ayushman Bhav program. This involves village-level campaigns led by the village health, sanitation, and nutrition committees. The objective is to ensure that both central and state government health schemes reach their intended beneficiaries effectively. Additionally, the Ayushman Sabhas will actively work towards raising awareness about various aspects of reproductive and child health, immunization, nutrition, and anemia.

The aim of these efforts is to enhance the overall well-being of women and children in rural areas, who are often the most vulnerable and in need of proper healthcare. By empowering communities with knowledge and access to healthcare services, the Ayushman Sabha aims to bring about a positive transformation in the health status of the rural population.

Ayushman Mela: A Holistic Approach to Healthcare

The Ayushman Mela is another innovative concept introduced under the Ayushman Bhav program. These events will be organized at the level of Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centres (AB-HWCs). The Ayushman Melas will serve as platforms for medical camps and outreach efforts, providing a comprehensive range of health services.

The primary goals of Ayushman Melas are to raise awareness about healthy behaviors, provide early diagnosis through screening, deliver comprehensive primary health care services with essential drugs and diagnostics, enable teleconsultation with health specialists, and facilitate appropriate referrals. The focus will be on marginalized communities, ensuring that they receive the necessary continuum of care.

Enhancing Awareness About PMJAY: The Key to Inclusive Healthcare

The Ayushman Sabha and Ayushman Mela campaigns will also play a pivotal role in generating awareness about the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) health insurance scheme. PMJAY is a significant step towards providing financial protection to vulnerable sections of society.

By educating people about the importance of PMJAY health insurance scheme cards and the process of obtaining Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA) numbers, the Ayushman Bhav program aims to bridge the information gap and ensure that every eligible individual can avail the benefits of this crucial health insurance scheme.
