Bharat Parv 2020 Promotes Indian Tourism in Delhi

The Bharat Parv, an annual affair, was commemorated from January 26 to 31, 2020 in India’s capital city, New Delhi. The overarching intent of the event was to motivate Indian citizens to explore diverse tourist destinations within their own country, fostering a stronger sense of national identity with the maxim ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ (‘See your own Country’).

Theme for Bharat Parv 2020

The theme for 2020’s event was set as ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ which translates to ‘One India, Superior India’. Simultaneously, the event also celebrated the 150-year legacy of Mahatma Gandhi, the torchbearer of India’s struggle for independence.

Organised by Ministry of Tourism

The Bharat Parv is a major initiative by the Ministry of Tourism. Through the organization of this event, the ministry aims to showcase the rich cultural diversity of the country and inspire natives to embrace and discover their heritage.

Event Highlights

The event features a variety of activities and performances. A key attraction was the display of Republic Day Parade Tableaux, which captivated attendees with its grandeur. Performances by bands from the Armed Forces added an air of patriotism and fervour to the proceedings.

State and Central Ministries Pavilion

At Bharat Parv, pavilions of different State and Central Ministries were established. These pavilions offered a unique perspective on the distinct cultures, traditions, and development initiatives in various states and ministries respectively.
