The Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), is set to hold an online hackathon named “Manthan 2021.” The initiative aims to bring together innovative minds from all walks of life, particularly young students and registered startups from educational institutions around the country.
Manthan 2021: Objective and Participants
The primary aim of this hackathon is to identify unique concepts and technology solutions that could serve to tackle the challenges confronted by intelligence agencies. With a participatory base encompassing selected individuals from educational institutions across the nation and registered startups, Manthan 2021 is set to witness a multitude of ground-breaking ideas and technological advancements.
BPR&D and AICTE: Key Organisations
BPR&D, founded under the Ministry of Home Affairs in the 1970s, has been a significant player in kickstarting the modernisation of the Police Force. Alongside this critical role, it is also responsible for executing Prison Reforms. Working in conjunction with BPR&D is AICTE, a national-level apex advisory body entrusted with conducting surveys on available facilities for technical education. AICTE promotes development in a coordinated and integrated way, contributing significantly to technical advancements in the country.
