C-TAP

C-TAP, part of the Solidarity call to action, recently announced three licensing agreements via the Medicines Patent Pool (MPP). Launched in 2020 by WHO and Costa Rica with support from various stakeholders, C-TAP serves as a platform for sharing intellectual property, knowledge, and data among developers of COVID-19 therapeutics, diagnostics, vaccines, and health products. MPP, a UN-backed organization, collaborates with diverse partners to enhance access to life-saving medicines in low- and middle-income nations. By pooling intellectual property and promoting generic manufacturing, MPP aids in medication development and affordability.
