The DefExpo, a significant biennial event orchestrated by the Ministry of Defence, hits a milestone in 2020 by holding its 11th edition in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The expo is scheduled for five days, from the 5th to 9th of February. This titanic defence exhibition, held every two years, has grown to become one of the most significant events of its kind on the global stage, with the previous 10th edition having been held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu in 2018.

In addition to the main event, the fifth India Russia Military Industry Conference is slated to take place on the sidelines of DefExpo 2020. The conference primarily targets issues concerning life-cycle support and maintenance of major Russian-origin equipment and platforms. These include SU-30 MKI aircraft, Mi-17 Helicopters, MiG-29K aircraft, INS Vikramaditya, and T-90 tanks.
