Garuda Aerospace Develops Disinfecting Drone Amid COVID-19

Corona-Killer 100, an innovative product developed by ISO-9001 certified company, Garuda Aerospace, seeks to aid sanitation efforts amid the Covid-19 outbreak. This Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) or drone, equipped with fuel-efficient motors, is designed to disinfect public places, hospitals, and tall structures up to 450 feet. Alongside being fast and long-lasting, the autonomous operations of this drone make it a safer choice than manual labour, mitigating the risk of workers contracting and spreading Covid-19. Integrating advanced technology such as patented autopilot systems and sophisticated flight controller systems, this UAV holds significant promise for aiding in pandemic control efforts.

Historical Development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)

Initially, many UAV applications found their footing in military operations as spy or reconnaissance vehicles during wartime. However, the evolution of this technology has led to its increasing integration in commercial, civil, and consumer-oriented spaces. Whether it’s professional videography, surveying, construction, inspection, traffic management, or last-mile delivery, UAVs have been repurposed to fulfil various necessities.

The Emergence of Drone as a Service (DaaS)

In response to this demand, commercial drone services have started to offer UAV services, sometimes referred to as Drones as a Service (DaaS). These services aim to assist various industries including agriculture, construction, search and rescue, package delivery, industrial inspection, insurance, and videography. DaaS primarily helps in areas like capturing imagery, taking measurements, managing events, or even broadcasting them.

Advantages of Drone Services

Drone services offer several advantages over conventional methods. They are cost-effective, portable, and can provide immediate visual assessments and reports on damage levels, especially in emergency situations like the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, they ensure minimal human involvement, thereby reducing the risk of disease transmission among workers.

The Role of Corona-Killer 100 in Pandemic Control

In the context of the ongoing global crisis, the Corona-Killer 100 serves an important role in sanitisation efforts. Its ability to be deployed for 12 hours a day makes it a reliable and efficient tool for maintaining cleanliness. Being a drone, it can easily reach and disinfect areas that may be challenging or risky for human workers to access such as tall buildings or heavily infected zones. This not only enhances the effectiveness of sanitisation efforts but also reduces potential exposure to the virus for sanitation workers.

Advancements in drone technology have made it possible to utilise these machines for various purposes across multiple sectors. Particularly in crisis management, drones like Corona-Killer 100 can play a crucial role in controlling the spread of diseases and ensuring public safety.
