Glacier pit viper

The world of reptiles has been enriched with the discovery of a remarkable new species of pit viper, the Glacier Pit Viper (Gloydius swild). This bluish-grey serpent, adorned with zigzag stripes on its back and distinctive narrow stripes behind its eyes, has captivated researchers and herpetology enthusiasts alike. Belonging to the Gloydius genus, the Glacier Pit Viper is a member of the Gloydius strauchi complex.
