Graphene-Aurora program

The Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) Secretary, introduced the ‘Graphene-Aurora program’ at Maker Village in Kochi, Kerala. The initiative, led by Digital University Kerala, is backed by joint funding from MeitY, the Government of India, Kerala govt, and industry partners, including Carborundum Pvt Limited. With a budget of Rs 94.85 Crore, the program aims to develop and commercialize graphene-based technologies and products. Additionally, a ‘India Graphene Engineering and Innovation Centre (I-GEIC)’ will be established to bridge the gap between research and commercialization, enhancing India’s standing in the global materials market.
