Indian Dairy Industry Revolutionized by Dugdh Sankalan Sathi App

India’s dairy industry recently achieved a significant breakthrough with the launch of the “Dugdh Sankalan Sathi Mobile App” by the Union Minister of Heavy Industries. The application, developed by Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL), aims to overhaul the milk collection process and address major difficulties in the industry. With this application, the focus is on enhancing milk quality, creating transparency among stakeholders, and organizing operations at the most basic level – village cooperatives.

Dugdh Sankalan Sathi App: An Innovation for the Dairy Sector

This innovative application is designed to improve the milk collection process at the grassroots level, including Milk Cooperative Societies. This app provides real-time updates on milk prices from the cloud server, eliminating human errors and ensuring transparency in payment calculations. Moreover, it allows direct beneficiary transfers of milk payments and government subsidies to the bank accounts of milk producers. This promotes financial inclusion and empowerment, marking a notable move towards digitization in the dairy sector.

The Right to Change One’s Name

The High Courts of Allahabad and Delhi recently emphasized the right to change one’s name as an integral part of the right to life under Article 21 of the Indian Constitution. The courts found that denying name-change requests by the authorities violated the petitioners’ fundamental rights. They asserted that every individual has the right to a name that reflects their self-worth and protects them from social stigma. They clarified, however, that although the right to change one’s name is a fundamental right, it is not absolute and is subject to reasonable limitations.

Common Annual Confidential Report in Armed Forces

To foster integration within the armed forces, a common Annual Confidential Report (ACR) will be implemented for senior officers. This reform aims to establish common parameters, procedures, and assessments, contributing to improved outcomes and more uniform HR practices. Currently, selection for combined or tri-services appointments is based on parent service-specific parameters. However, recent cross-service postings have been initiated as a step towards achieving more significant integration. As organizations transform toward joint structures, the need for a streamlined appraisal system grows. The move towards a common ACR aligns with the broader goal of establishing integrated theater commands.
