Kamlang Tiger Reserve, situated in the southeastern part of Arunachal Pradesh near the Myanmar border, recently organized a ‘Butterfly Walk & Nature Trail’ where approximately 20 different butterfly species were identified and documented. The reserve boasts diverse landscapes, including tropical forests, grasslands, rivers, and hills. Its rich flora includes species like Amari, Gamari, Hillika, and Dhuna. Kamlang is also home to a variety of fauna, including the Snow Leopard, Clouded Leopard, Leopard, Tiger, and other endangered species like Himalayan Palm Civets and Hoolock Gibbons. The event showcased the reserve’s biodiversity and its importance as a conservation area.
