The Lokmanya Tilak National Award is presented annually by the Tilak Smarak Mandir Trust on the occasion of the 103rd death anniversary of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak. Lokmanya Tilak was an iconic figure in India’s freedom struggle during the early 20th century. Known as the “Father of Swaraj,” he played a pivotal role in advocating for self-rule and inspiring a sense of national spirit among the masses.
