Larsen and Toubro’s construction arm, L&T Construction, has achieved another significant milestone by winning a ‘mega’ contract from the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) to construct the crucial 135.45 km MAHSR – C3 package. This package is an integral part of the ambitious Mumbai Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Project, also known as the MAHSR Bullet Train project.

Spanning approximately 508 km, the project will establish a high-speed rail corridor between two major metropolises, Mumbai in Maharashtra and Ahmedabad in Gujarat. The route comprises 155.76 kms in the State of Maharashtra, 4.3 kms in the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli, and 348.04 kms in the State of Gujarat. The corridor will boast an impressive total of 12 stations strategically located along its path, enhancing connectivity and accessibility for millions of commuters.

Upon completion, the High-Speed Rail will operate at an impressive speed of 320 Kmph. Even with all stops considered, the travel time is estimated to be only 3 hours, drastically reducing the journey duration compared to conventional rail travel.
