Malaviya Mission

Malaviya Mission

The Union Minister for Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship launched the Malaviya Mission – Teachers Training Programme, a University Grants Commission initiative in New Delhi. The program is dedicated to providing specialized training for teachers in higher educational institutions (HEIs). It aims to empower 15 lakh teachers across India through 111 Malaviya Mission centers, focusing on continuous professional development, leadership skills, and aligning with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP). The Indian Knowledge System is integrated into the program modules. Furthermore, Human Resource Development Centers will be revamped as Madan Mohan Malaviya Teachers Training Centers. Madan Mohan Malaviya, a prominent educationist and leader, founded Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in 1916 and played a significant role in Indian history.
