National Informatics Centre (NIC) and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in association with NITI Aayog’s Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) have recently provided the CollabCAD Software for CBSE and released a comprehensive e-book on CollabCAD 3D modeling.

This providing of CollabCAD Software for CBSE and release of an e-book on CollabCAD 3D modeling was done through a virtual event.
CBSE and NIC have also signed an agreement for providing CollabCAD Software support and training for Faculty in Engineering Graphics Curriculum and Students of Class 10th and 12th across all CBSE affiliated Schools. This software support and training will be provided for a period of 10 years.
CollabCAD software has been very useful for Atal Tinkering Lab students and now mainstreaming it to CBSE students will be tremendous.
CollabCAD Software is the 1st indigenous tool created by NIC in association with Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) and Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC).
It is a network-enabled and desktop software system which provides engineering solution from 2D drafting & detailing to 3D product design for faculty of Engineering Graphics Curriculum and students.
CollabCAD will prove an innovative way of learning 3D Model designing for students.
The e-book on CollabCAD 3D modeling 1.0 is also ready for public release. It will be available through the CollabCAD portal for registered users.
The e-book will guide beginners, CAD students, and professionals to understand and use the CollabCAD Software effectively.
CollabCAD 3D modeling e-book has been authored and designed by the CollabCAD Group of NIC, New Delhi.
