Anglo-Maratha Wars

The Anglo-Maratha Wars were a series of conflicts between the British East India Company and the Maratha Empire. They occurred in the 18th and early 19th centuries. The wars aimed to expand British control in India. The outcome significantly weakened the Maratha power. Ultimately, the British established dominance in much of India following these conflicts.
