Hantavirus
Hantavirus is primarily transmitted through rodent droppings, urine, and saliva. It causes Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS), which can be fatal. The virus was first identified in the United States in 1993. In India, it is rare but can occur in rural areas. Symptoms include fever, muscle aches, and respiratory distress.
