International Criminal Court

The International Criminal Court (ICC) is a permanent tribunal. It prosecutes individuals for serious crimes. These include genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity. Established in 2002, it is based in The Hague, Netherlands. The ICC aims to promote justice and accountability. It operates independently of the United Nations. Many countries support its mission, while others remain sceptical.
