Thar Desert
The Thar Desert, also known as the Great Indian Desert, spans approximately 200,000 square kilometers. It is home to unique wildlife, including the Indian gazelle and desert fox. The desert experiences extreme temperatures, reaching up to 50°C in summer. It supports traditional cultures, such as the Bishnoi community. The Thar is also rich in mineral resources, particularly gypsum and salt.
