Triassic Period
The Triassic Period marks the first geological period of the Mesozoic Era. It lasted from approximately 252 to 201 million years ago. This era saw the emergence of dinosaurs and the first mammals. The climate was generally dry and warm. Major landmasses were joined as Pangaea. The period ended with a significant mass extinction event. It shaped the evolution of life on Earth.
